The Fast and Furious is one of the most iconic modern movie franchises in the world. Even if you aren’t a motorcar enthusiast, chances are at some point you will have seen at least one of these turbo-charged, hyper-masculine, Vin Diesel-laden pieces of art.
We’re not trying to be glib either; Fast and Furious really does hold a special place in millennial pop culture and deservedly so.
Despite the films being littered with Hollywood A-lister talent, it’s the cars that feature within that are the real stars of the franchise.
This week at Rear View Print’s we’ve decided to pick 5 of the best cars in Fast and Furious. Remember to sound off in the comments if your personal favourite isn’t there
Nissan Skyline GTR
The Nissan Skyline GTR further solidified its presence in motorcar pop culture with its intermittent appearances throughout the Fast and Furious franchise. Within the movie universe, it was the late Paul Walker's signature vehicle.
This distinction earned it a renewed interest from a young generation of car fans, which coincided with a burgeoning street racing scene all over the globe. There are no shortage of reasons to choose from then, as to why it's one best cars in Fast and Furious history.
Koenigsegg CCXR
Considering the fact only four of these bad boys were made, this definitely makes it a top candidate for a list of best cars in Fast and Furious.
Driven by international career criminal Roman Pearce, the CCXR turned up triumphantly at the end of Fast Five as Pearce's attempt to flex on his fellow enthusiasts. It kinda worked, until Tej Parker wheeled his own model out only moments later. Womp, womp.
Jensen Interceptor
Some might say the Jensen Interceptor added a touch of British class to a North American-dominated affair, and at Rear View Prints we'd be inclined to agree.
The cult classic made its appearance in Fast and Furious 6 and certainly impressed car aficionados with a leftfield but inspired and stylish choice for the London-set blockbuster.
Mazda RX-7
Han's Mazda RX-7, almost as iconic as Han's blaster some might say. In all seriousness, this is a beast of a custom RX-7 that you can actually order IRL from a Japanese tuning company called Veilside.
Unfortunately, despite the car's general badassery, it didn't have a particularly ceremonious end in its appearance in Tokyo Drift. It still managed to capture hearts and minds and win a place on a list of the best Fast and Furious cars though!
Dodge Charger
If you're a fan of the franchise, then you pretty much knew that a Dodge Charger would appear on a list of the best cars in Fast and Furious. Dom's iconic Charger has gone through various different iterations, paintjobs, tune-ups, etc. you name it.
But the essence of one of the most iconic All-American muscle cars still remains. It doesn't get more Uncle Sam than Vin Diesel in a modded street racing Dodge Charger, folks.
We hope you enjoyed our rundown of the best cars in the Fast and Furious franchise.
